I'm currently listing a large number of playbills from out-of-town tryouts prior to the Broadway runs ....... This is a rare October 28th, 1954 "Playgoer" playbill from the three-night, Pre-Broadway tryout and AMERICAN PREMIERE engagement of the GRAHAM GREENE play "THE LIVING ROOM" at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. (The production would open November 17th, 1954 at Henry Miller's Theatre in New York City and close after only 22 performances.) ..... The play starred BARBARA BEL GEDDES and featured WALTER FITZGERALD, ANN SHOEMAKER, MICHAEL GOODLIFFE, NORA NICHOLSON, HAZEL JONES and NORMA WINTERS
(replaced out-of-town by CAROL GOODNER)

CONDITION: With the exception of slight discoloration to the first inside page and minor edge wear, this rare playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
