(See cut songs below.) ....... This is a rare August 1970 playbill from the Pre-Broadway tryout of the musical flop "LOVELY LADIES, KIND GENTLEMEN" at the Shubert Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (The production would open December 28th, 1970 at the Majestic Theatre in New York City and close after only 16 performances.) ..... Based on VERN J. SNEIDER's Pulitzer Prize winning book "THE TEAHOUSE OF THE AUGUST MOON", the musical starred KENNETH NELSON, RON HUSMANN, BERNIE WEST (who would be replaced out-of-town by DAVID BURNS) and ELEANOR CALBES and featured JUDY KNAIZ (who would be replaced out-of-town), DAVID STEELE, LOU WILLS, LORI CHINN, TISA CHANG, JUNE ANGELA, SACHI SHIMIZU, ALVIN LUM, DAVID THOMAS, SAB SHIMONO, REMAK RAMSAY, JIM WESTON, STEPHEN BOLSTER and RICHARD NIEVES .....
