This is a rare ticket stub from the Tuesday, March 26th, 2002 evening performance of theOriginal Off-Broadway production of the JASON ROBERT BROWN musical "THE LAST FIVE YEARS" at the Minetta Lane Theatre in New York City. (The production opened March 3rd, 2002 at the Minetta Lane Theatre and ran for two months, closing May 5th, 2002.) ..... With a beautiful score by the Tony Award winning JASON ROBERT BROWN ("Parade" in 1999 and "The Bridges of Madison County" in 2014), the musical starred NORBERT LEO BUTZ as "Jamie" and SHERIE RENE SCOTT as "Cathy" ..... Loosely based on JASON ROBERT BROWN's own failed first marriage, the show is a two-character musical which tells the history of a relationship from two different perspectives. The male's narrative begins at the beginning of the story and progresses through marriage, infidelity, and divorce, while the female narrative begins at the end of the relationship and ends with the couple's first date; the two actors' only direct interaction takes place mid-point, during the wedding sequence .....
