This is a rare single page advertising handbill (flyer) promoting ticket sales for the three-week, Pre-Broadway engagement of the
SIDNEY MICHAELS and MARK SANDRICH, JR. musical "BEN FRANKLIN IN PARIS" at the Shubert Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (The production would open October 27th, 1964 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York City and run for 215 performances.) ..... The musical starred ROBERT PRESTON and featured ULLA SALLERT, FRANKLIN KISER, BOB KALIBAN, BYRON WEBSTER, JACK FLETCHER, OLIVER CLARK, SAM GREENE, JERRY SCHAEFER and JACQUELINE MAYRO (who would be replaced by SUSAN WATSON) ..... This single page, two-sided handbill measures 6" X 9" inches and includes wonderful graphics, production credits, partial cast list and performance dates on the front and promotional text, ticket prices and a ticket order form on the backside ..... CONDITION: With the exception of moderate edge wear, this rare handbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
