This is a rare July 1981 "Performing Arts" program (with an original ticket stub) from the Post-Broadway engagement of theSTEPHEN SONDHEIM and HUGH WHEELER musical thriller "SWEENEY TODD" ("The Demon Barber of Fleet Street")
at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles, California. (The
production opened March 1st, 1979 at the Uris Theatre in New York City and ran for 557 performances before going on the road.) ..... DETAILS: The oversized 72 page program measures 8 3/8" X 10 3/4" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes, list of musical numbers and individual photos and bios of each of the leading actors and members of the creative team as well as a number of black and white production photos. Includes a ticket stub from the July 4th, 1981 matinee performance taped to the title page ..... CONDITION: With the exception of slight discoloration to the tape affixed to the ticket stub and light edge wear, this program is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
